Buffalo Chicken Dip Bites
Ingredients:
- 1 fully cooked rotisserie chicken
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1½ cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- ⅓ cup hot sauce (e.g., Frank’s Red Hot)
- 2 tablespoons buttermilk
- 2 teaspoons dried dill
- 2 teaspoons dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1½ cups panko breadcrumbs
- Oil spray
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onion, for garnish
- Cut vegetables, for serving (optional)
For Bleu Cheese Dip:
- 1 cup bleu cheese crumbles
- ½ cup sour cream
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons chives, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt & pepper, to taste
How to Cook?
- STEP 1
Preheat theHauswirt Air Fryer Oven at 380°F.
- STEP 2
Remove all the meat from the rotisserie chicken, shred it, then place in a large bowl.
- STEP 3
Add the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, hot sauce, buttermilk, dill, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne, black pepper and salt to the chicken, then stir to combine thoroughly.
- STEP 4
Form the chicken mixture into balls 2-inches in diameter.
- STEP 5
Set up a breading station in the following order: flour, eggs, breadcrumbs. Dip each ball first into the flour, then the eggs, then the breadcrumbs, shaking off excess each time.
- STEP 6
Place the breaded balls onto a parchment lined baking sheet, continuing to form the balls until all the chicken mixture has been used up.
- STEP 7
Spray each ball with cooking spray lightly on all sides, then arrange 9-12 balls in the preheated air fryer pan. Place any remaining balls into the refrigerator to reserve for a second batch.
- STEP 8
Set temperature to 380°F and time to 10 minutes, then press Start/Pause.
- STEP 9
Stir together the bleu cheese dip ingredients in a medium bowl, then season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- STEP 10
Remove the buffalo chicken bites from the air fryer when done. Sprinkle with green onions for garnish and serve immediately with the bleu cheese dip and cut vegetables.
